Meet Dr. Thornburg
Dr. Brian Thornburg has eight children ranging in birth dates from 2002 to 2013 and the experience to help parents with almost any concern. He is a board-certified pediatric physician who trained at the Medical College of Georgia Children’s Medical Center and at Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He has a strong interest in child development, patient education, the mind-body-spirit connection, healthy living and personalizing the medical system to meet the needs of each family. He conducted research for the US Public Health Service at the Department of Health and Human Services in Washington D.C., as well as at several prestigious medical schools and hospitals.
Dr. Brian Thornburg believes in giving back to the community. He works with young victims of physical, psychological and sexual abuse and neglect at the Children’s Advocacy Center of Collier County. He also serves on the board of directors for the Children’s Museum of Naples and GreenMedInfo.com, in addition to serving as an Executive Committee member for the American Academy of Pediatrics Section on Home Care. He frequently lectures in the South Florida area on parenting, nutrition and environmental health issues and has a widely read newsletter. Dr. Thornburg is a clinical preceptor for Wake Forest University School of Medicine and for Florida Gulf Coast University School of Nursing.
